Hi,
It's Arno.
Ran into something superweird and I'm almost positive you've had a similar experience.
I'm running ads for a client and they're doing extremely well. Roughly speaking they're making $4 for every $1 invested in ads.
So I'm talking to the client and going over the account, just looking at these ads and seeing where we can further optimize.
At some point the client asks me: 'so, if we wanted to double the amount of leads coming in... how would you do it?'
And my brain starts rifling through options, ideas, settings, campaigns, just a whole caleidoscope of marketing things.
Then it clicked.
"We should just double the budget"
Let's say you dive into the Atlantis ruins and you find a machine that gives you 4x of whatever you put in it.
And let's say you're not a very creative person so you decide to just put money in it.
Your first priority should probably not be:
- what color is this machine and should I paint it?
- where do I put it in my house?
- will this fit with my rug?
First priority is just shoveling CASH into this machine so it can give you mountains of cash back.
Good to remind yourself of these things regularly. I know we've all had problems where the solution is staring you RIGHT in the face... but you just can't see it.
Talk soon,
Arno
